In the 33rdth minute of the game Gualterio Matthew who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tejas's Zeledon Maxin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Danilo Beturian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zeledon Maxin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tejas's Ernesto Hever got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute Chañar were awarded a corner. Mauricio Otsoko went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Chañar's Mauricio Otsoko to fire away a dangerous shot which Zeledon Maxin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Zeledon Maxin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Confesor, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Tejas's Adan Loren got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andres Confesor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Andres Confesor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chañar's supporters rose to their feet, but Andres Confesor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeledon Maxin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gualterio Matthew during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 65 played minutes Chañar got a freekick which was hit by Gualterio Matthew. After 69 minutes of play, Tejas's Adan Loren made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruperto Leizarraga was left in no man's land by his defense there! Adan Loren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Chañar defense, Adan Loren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruperto Leizarraga. The Chañar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruperto Leizarraga should have stopped the shot. 86 minutes into the match, Chañar's Danilo Beturian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zeledon Maxin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, Andres Confesor dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zeledon Maxin, 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tejas had won after a very even match.
