The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Anacleto Montel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tunalito AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anacleto Montel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Justino Sanchez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oscar Dunixi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Justino Sanchez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Raul Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filiberto Argoitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Barea in the 18th minute of play. Justino Sanchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basilio Gonchan in the 21st minute of play. Oscar Dunixi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Justino Sanchez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. After 26 played minutes La Academia Rivadaviense got a freekick which was hit by Delmar Iztal. If Oscar Dunixi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the La Academia Rivadaviense defense, Basilio Gonchan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Justino Sanchez. The La Academia Rivadaviense fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Justino Sanchez should have stopped the shot. Jacinto Barea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Argoitz having to interfere. After 48 played minutes La Academia Rivadaviense got a freekick which was hit by Raul Torres.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacinto Barea to strike the kick off in the second half. Raul Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Argoitz having to interfere. La Academia Rivadaviense's Rolando Etor couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 56th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tunalito AFC. After a defensive mix-up in Tunalito AFC's zone, Raul Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filiberto Argoitz came out of the goal and Raul Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jacinto Barea came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the La Academia Rivadaviense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacinto Barea couldn't finish the play. 65 minutes into the game, Jacinto Barea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Filiberto Argoitz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Justino Sanchez made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Basilio Gonchan sent off a good shot on target. Justino Sanchez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Dunixi in the 75th minute of the match. Elpidio Valente hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Raul Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Tunalito AFC's zone, Jacinto Barea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filiberto Argoitz came out of the goal and Jacinto Barea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Tunalito AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for La Academia Rivadaviense.
