Celedonio Sotil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fermin Otsoa having to interfere. Artemio Tadzio charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artemio Tadzio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th minute, Artemio Tadzio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Yacuy AFC's goalie and right to Eusebio Fagondo. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Yacuy AFC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. A collision led to Yacuy AFC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Artemio Tadzio hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Feliberto Maura during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th minute, Feliberto Maura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute of the match Silverio Abastas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fermin Otsoa skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Tinta Calamar's Humberto Endura got a free kick in the 14th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Celedonio Sotil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yacuy AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Celedonio Sotil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fermin Otsoa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hernan Lander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute, Tinta Calamar's Hernan Lander ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Roberto Martxot. Roberto Martxot yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 21 minutes into the match, Tinta Calamar's Uriel Savier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roberto Martxot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Orlando Argina fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yacuy AFC's protests and gave Orlando Argina a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Yacuy AFC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Orlando Argina hit a great ball. Uriel Savier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Roberto Martxot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roberto Martxot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Lander in the 37th minute of play. Artemio Tadzio was shown his second yellow card after 38 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Yacuy AFC's Artemio Tadzio got a free kick in the 39th minute. Yacuy AFC's Orlando Argina got his second yellow card of the match in the 42nd minute. The referee ordered Orlando Argina off the ground. In the 43rd minute, Orlando Argina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Yacuy AFC's zone, Hernan Lander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Martxot came out of the goal and Hernan Lander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Uriel Savier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uriel Savier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Roberto Martxot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Justino Presebal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes, Oscar Dubardo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yacuy AFC and the Tinta Calamar players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Tinta Calamar booed when Yacuy AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Dubardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yacuy AFC's goalkeeper Roberto Martxot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Yacuy AFC's Roberto Martxot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernan Lander in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Yacuy AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Lander came free, but Roberto Martxot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Candido Macias kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. When Uriel Savier came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Tinta Calamar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uriel Savier couldn't finish the play. Hernan Lander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Roberto Martxot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tinta Calamar's Uriel Savier got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 82 minutes, Justino Presebal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yacuy AFC and the Tinta Calamar players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 83 played minutes Yacuy AFC got a freekick which was hit by Justino Presebal. Uriel Savier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Martxot having to interfere. In the 93rd match minute, Yacuy AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonzo Valiente to maneuver through the defense. 97 minutes had been played when some careless play by Yacuy AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Angelo Saturnin was slow to take the kick. During this time Tinta Calamar's players had a chance to rest. Tinta Calamar's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Angelo Saturnin in the 99th minute. Tinta Calamar's Angelo Saturnin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Roberto Martxot in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tinta Calamar fans cheered their team off the field, for while Yacuy AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
