With his leg Matias Sauveur managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Juancho's Basilio Transito fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gilberto Firme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Matias Sauveur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Basilio Transito took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Matias Sauveur. Matias Sauveur dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 24 minutes of play, Juancho's Gilberto Firme made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matias Sauveur was left in no man's land by his defense there! Matias Sauveur acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 29th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Herminio Panfilo. Christian Mosen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Cebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Basingtoke Córdoba's zone, Basilio Transito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matias Sauveur came out of the goal and Basilio Transito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Honorato Jokin hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After 38 played minutes, Juancho's Herminio Panfilo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Matias Sauveur came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Juancho reached it. Gilberto Firme was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 47th minute. Juancho's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. A collision led to Basingtoke Córdoba getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Edgard Cebo hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Basilio Transito made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Mauro Lizbeth could shoot a difficult shot in the 54th minute, which Christian Mosen however easily saved by the left post. Enrique Salbatore's late challenge caught a Juancho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enrique Salbatore helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th minute, Enrique Salbatore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christian Mosen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roque Henric in the 74th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Lizbeth got free with Christian Mosen in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 77 minutes, Eleuterio Txeru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juancho and the Basingtoke Córdoba players grew even worse after the yellow card. The long shot by Gregorio Lorenz in the 78th minute really tested Christian Mosen's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Saverio Seber hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the match, Juancho's Basilio Transito sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matias Sauveur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Basingtoke Córdoba's Matias Sauveur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basilio Transito in the 91st minute of play.
