After 6 minutes, Gregorio Lorenz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Basingtoke Córdoba and the Ranelagh players grew even worse after the yellow card. Elias Dei struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Matias Sauveur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ranelagh. Matias Sauveur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fulgencio Gaizko in the 11th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Basingtoke Córdoba's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Gaizko came free, but Matias Sauveur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Eulalio Aznaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ranelagh's supporters rose to their feet, but Eulalio Aznaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matias Sauveur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute, Roque Henric hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, Basingtoke Córdoba's Rodrigo Ferman got a free kick in the 55th minute. If Fulgencio Gaizko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, Roque Henric notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Ranelagh's Jairo Frantzes. Jairo Frantzes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eulalio Aznaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matias Sauveur having to interfere. In the 76th minute Mauro Lizbeth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Frantzes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodrigo Ferman in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jairo Frantzes saved Ranelagh from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Ranelagh's Elias Dei got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Roque Henric recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Many of Ranelagh's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ranelagh may have spent more time on the ball, but Basingtoke Córdoba were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
