Spectators: 7296 (Terracing: 5474, Seating: 1677, VIP seats: 145) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ivan Abadia kicked off to start the match. If Dionisio Rafel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9thth minute of the game Ivan Abadia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vancouver's Gustavo Poz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 13th minute, Alejandro Su sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Vancouver's Gustavo Poz didn't even have to move. When Vancouver's Dionisio Rafel in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Megadeth's goalie prevented a goal. Dionisio Rafel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Dacian Ghiorman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaudencio Pes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Poz having to interfere. Alberto Mark hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Alejandro Su from long distance, 33 minutes into the match, got Gustavo Poz's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 33rd match minute, Vancouver was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Osorio to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the match, Vancouver's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Abadia came free, but Gustavo Poz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gaudencio Pes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vancouver's Gustavo Poz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Abadia in the 38th minute of play. Raimundo Emmanuel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Raimundo Emmanuel made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Megadeth booed when Vancouver was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermengildo Herrera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivan Abadia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Astor Dacio hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. During the 71st minute of the match Alberto Mark completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Alberto Mark a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The audience was convinced that Ivan Abadia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustavo Poz was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Ivan Abadia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Gustavo Poz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vancouver's Gustavo Poz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Abadia in the 94th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Vancouver players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Megadeth.
