Emilio Jurgi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucio Eguzki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Cleto Bastiaro's late challenge caught a Talleres FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cleto Bastiaro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th minute, Cleto Bastiaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albano Tono to make the kick off. Constantino Francis charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Basilio Henrico could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Honorio Maria made a huge save. In the 62nd minute, Albano Tono fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Honorio Maria, passed just outside the right post. Honorio Maria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Albano Tono kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Honorio Maria. That made the score 0-2 in the 91 minute of play. Albano Tono blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Honorio Maria having to make a save. Honorio Maria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albano Tono in the 97th minute of play. The Bº Malvinas players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
