The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of Club Atletico Antifa:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vancouver:s goal. The referee gave Vancouver a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Osvaldo Milian, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Club Atletico Antifa's Fabio Favila. 1-2. If Raimundo Emmanuel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 played minutes Vancouver got a freekick which was hit by Octavio Isadore. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Librado in the 45th minute of play forced Vancouver's goalkeeper Gustavo Poz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vancouver's Dionisio Rafel got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Danel was the one to do the kick off. Club Atletico Antifa's Fabio Favila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Emmanuel in the 57th minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, Dionisio Rafel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Fabio Favila was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Efrain Librado in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gustavo Poz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
