Aquilino Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Teodoro Iliana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Escalada FC's zone, Aquilino Fernandez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodoro Iliana came out of the goal and Aquilino Fernandez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Escalada FC booed when jefyl jueves was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Berdaitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Alvaro Rius had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tobias Inge. jefyl jueves's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alvaro Rius was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After the first half Escalada FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aquilino Fernandez to strike the kick off in the second half. Escalada FC's Lucio Arlo got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fidel Reynardo's late challenge caught a Escalada FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fidel Reynardo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th minute, Fidel Reynardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Escalada FC's Aurelio Quilino got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teodoro Iliana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Fernandez in the 67th minute of play. Teodoro Iliana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquilino Fernandez in the 68th minute of the match.
