The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Punua:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ostende F.C:s goal. The referee gave Ostende F.C a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Erubiel Txerran, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Punua's Orlando Chaime. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Orlando Chaime made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Moises Bautista sent off a good shot on target. In the 54th minute, Sebastian Juvenal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
