Bernardino Victoro's late challenge caught a Cazón's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardino Victoro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 3rd minute, Bernardino Victoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Moises Bautista in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucas Abreu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lucas Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Pacorro in the 11th minute of play. Romeo Pacorro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Abreu having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ostende F.C's Silvano Valerio got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute, Prospero Hori got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Romeo Pacorro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the match, Ostende F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Fernendo came free, but Luisito Iturri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardino Victoro kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. When Prospero Hori came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Cazón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prospero Hori couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Carlos Fernendo made the kick off in the second half. The corner ended in Domingos Lopez almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ostende F.C's Luisito Iturri did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moises Bautista got free with Lucas Abreu in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Moises Bautista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Lucas Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moises Bautista got free with Lucas Abreu in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lucas Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Pacorro, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
