When Adolfo Sotil came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Luque AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolfo Sotil couldn't finish the play. After the first half Luque AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alejo Quiroga to make the kick off. A collision led to Luque AFC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Marcos Gamus hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Luque AFC defense, Desiderio Avellaneda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pastor Monte. The Luque AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pastor Monte should have stopped the shot. Desiderio Avellaneda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pastor Monte having to interfere. If Baldomero Gorri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Clausurada's goalkeeper Emanuel Tuste had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adolfo Sotil. In the 84th minute, Desiderio Avellaneda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clausurada fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejo Quiroga in the 92nd minute of play forced Luque AFC's goalkeeper Pastor Monte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clausurada were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Luque AFC for a fine match.
