In the 5thth minute of the game Samuel Pelagius who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Martes's Alejandro George was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Vinicio Refugio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Amado Teodor, 1-0. Samuel Pelagius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejandro George having to interfere. Amado Teodor made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Cleto Abastas sent off a good shot on target. When Samuel Pelagius came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Institucion Sarmiento fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuel Pelagius couldn't finish the play. In the 24th minute, Arsenio Eron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amado Teodor made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Cleto Abastas sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Deportivo Martes booed when Institucion Sarmiento was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Rafe didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Institucion Sarmiento's zone, Bruno Nayely stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amado Teodor came out of the goal and Bruno Nayely tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Deportivo Martes's Alejandro George played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Pelagius in the 45th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arsenio Eron was the one to do the kick off. Bruno Nayely sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabio Gutxi charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabio Gutxi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The goalkeeper, Alejandro George, was totally fooled by Institucion Sarmiento's Cristian Maule, who 61 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Samuel Pelagius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejandro George having to interfere. Arsenio Eron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Institucion Sarmiento getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Desiderio Sedeni hit a great ball. Cleto Abastas hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Samuel Pelagius's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alejandro George firmly grabbed it by the left post. Arsenio Eron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejandro George having to interfere. In the 79th match minute, Deportivo Martes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Michael to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, one of Institucion Sarmiento:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Institucion Sarmiento. In the 83rd minute there was a penalty for Deportivo Martes. Gilberto Vachon stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Amado Teodor. 2-1. The audience was convinced that Bruno Nayely's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amado Teodor was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Bruno Nayely put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Amado Teodor. A collision led to Deportivo Martes getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Vinicio Refugio hit a great ball.
