A hard shot by Patricio Fernendo from long distance, 47 minutes into the match, got Tomás Gitano's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Raimundo Eufemio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Girardet Futbol Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 78th minute, Guillermo Lamberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luciano Tadzio in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomás Gitano saved Girardet Futbol Club from getting behind. After 81 minutes, Ermegildo Jerardo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lakers and the Girardet Futbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tomás Gitano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Tadzio, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After a rather tough play, Girardet Futbol Club's Vicente Cordarius got a free kick in the 84th minute. After 89 played minutes Lakers got a freekick which was hit by Ermegildo Jerardo. Tomás Gitano came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Lakers's Luciano Tadzio. But to his dismay, Luciano Tadzio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Lakers had won after a very even match.
