An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Rainerio in the 18th minute of play forced Desgarro FC's goalkeeper Carmelo Benino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Leon F.C's Simon Gomesano got a free kick in the 41st minute. Wilfredo Rainerio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carmelo Benino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilfredo Rainerio made a kick off. If Wilfredo Rainerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Leon F.C's much stronger midfield.
