An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Elequemedo in the 7th minute of play forced Quebrachito FC's goalkeeper Francisco Frechoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gabriel Kelemen came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Quebrachito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Kelemen couldn't finish the play. Quebrachito FC's Francisco Frechoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Medero in the 15th minute of play. After having played for 17 minutes, Fabian Medero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Las Estrellas Rojas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Medero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute, Filomeno Igon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Fabian Medero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ladislao Hurko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ambrosio Tano having to interfere. Ambrosio Tano stood somewhat misplaced when Gabriel Kelemen came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 36 minute. Gabriel Kelemen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ambrosio Tano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ladislao Hurko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ambrosio Tano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Francisco Frechoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimeno Elequemedo in the 48th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabian Medero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gabriel Kelemen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ladislao Hurko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Ambrosio Tano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Arturo Pes fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Las Estrellas Rojas's protests and gave Arturo Pes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Quebrachito FC booed when Las Estrellas Rojas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Pes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauro Orlin charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
