A collision led to Club Mercedes getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ladislao Licerio hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Licerio in the 20th minute of play forced Depor Agrario S.A.'s goalkeeper Arnoldo Cutberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute of the match Cesar Arnas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnoldo Cutberto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Depor Agrario S.A. booed when Club Mercedes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofilo Bero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37thth minute of the game Esteve Jurdan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Depor Agrario S.A.'s Arnoldo Cutberto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Ladislao Licerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44th play minutes Esteve Jurdan shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Arnoldo Cutberto and just under the crossbar into goal.

Club Mercedes's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
