CA River Plate's Bartolo Nahia got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Depor Agrario S.A. getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Angel Virila hit a great ball. Arnoldo Cutberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Everardo Goiz in the 8th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Bernardino Lizer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Depor Agrario S.A.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardino Lizer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robustiano Jakes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Robustiano Jakes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ambrosio Naldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robustiano Jakes having to interfere. CA River Plate's Robustiano Jakes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardino Lizer in the 16th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Everardo Goiz in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnoldo Cutberto saved Depor Agrario S.A. from getting behind. Marcelo Ederono recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, CA River Plate's Francisco Hurko got a free kick in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Depor Agrario S.A.'s zone, Everardo Goiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnoldo Cutberto came out of the goal and Everardo Goiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernardino Lizer's late challenge caught a CA River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardino Lizer helped the player get up and apologised. Arnoldo Cutberto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everardo Goiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Depor Agrario S.A.'s goalkeeper Arnoldo Cutberto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arnoldo Cutberto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everardo Goiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The supporters of Depor Agrario S.A. booed when CA River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fidel Donzel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robustiano Jakes made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Ambrosio Naldo sent off a good shot on target. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Everardo Goiz to make the kick off. Ambrosio Naldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nereo Ritchie kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The supporters of Depor Agrario S.A. booed when CA River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nereo Ritchie didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ambrosio Naldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. With his leg Arnoldo Cutberto managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when CA River Plate's Bartolo Nahia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Bernardino Lizer came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Depor Agrario S.A. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardino Lizer couldn't finish the play. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Depor Agrario S.A.'s goalkeeper Arnoldo Cutberto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 82 minutes into the match, Depor Agrario S.A.'s goalkeeper Arnoldo Cutberto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bartolo Nahia. Everardo Goiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Arnoldo Cutberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bartolo Nahia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnoldo Cutberto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. CA River Plate had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
