It was beautiful to see MANDIYU's Anacleto Jon in action when he in the 23rd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Robustiano Jakes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleto Quintyn in the 25th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Bartolo Nahia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd minute Everardo Goiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Claus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd match minute, MANDIYU was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anacleto Jon to maneuver through the defense. Ciriaco Erasto's late challenge caught a CA River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciriaco Erasto helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to MANDIYU getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Ciriaco Erasto hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MANDIYU reached it. There was no doubt that CA River Plate were the better team. CA River Plate's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
