The referee ignored Club Mercedes's protests and gave Christian Gabon a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Club Mercedes's Christian Gabon got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 16th minute Esteve Jurdan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Enmanuel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute Ladislao Licerio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Enmanuel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Yoscaba's goal looked a bit too open when Ladislao Licerio came free, but Hector Enmanuel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelino Tino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Wilfredo Claude when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Yoscaba's Hector Enmanuel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Licerio in the 25th minute of play. A collision led to Yoscaba getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Zacarias Erramun hit a great ball. Yoscaba's Bruno Chesus got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hector Enmanuel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ladislao Licerio's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Ladislao Licerio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Enmanuel having to interfere. Severino Olentzaro's late challenge caught a Club Mercedes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severino Olentzaro helped the player get up and apologised. After 37 played minutes Yoscaba got a freekick which was hit by Severino Olentzaro. Ladislao Licerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Hector Enmanuel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ladislao Licerio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bruno Chesus made a kick off. Esteve Jurdan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Yoscaba's zone, Ladislao Licerio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hector Enmanuel came out of the goal and Ladislao Licerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ladislao Licerio struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Hector Enmanuel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Mercedes. Ladislao Licerio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Enmanuel having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Mercedes's Ladislao Licerio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hector Enmanuel. That made the score 0-1 after 73 minutes of play. Club Mercedes's Wilfredo Claude played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelino Tino in the 79th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Yoscaba's goal looked a bit too open when Delmiro Mingo came free, but Hector Enmanuel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 85 minutes, Esteve Jurdan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Mercedes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esteve Jurdan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Hector Enmanuel managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Club Mercedes's Esteve Jurdan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 91st minute, Christian Gabon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Ladislao Licerio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Mercedes's supporters rose to their feet, but Ladislao Licerio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hector Enmanuel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Club Mercedes played a much better game than Yoscaba and deserved their victory. The Yoscaba players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
