Simon Dimo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carmelo Egoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomero Cortez in the 12th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Santos de Boedo's Baldomero Cortez got a free kick in the 16th minute. Lino Gorri was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Robustiano Roano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Amadeo Hermelando was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Lorenzo de Almagro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santos de Boedo the free kick. In the 20th match minute, San Lorenzo de Almagro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeo Hermelando to maneuver through the defense. Simon Dimo kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 34thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Santos de Boedo's keeper Lino Gorri was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind San Lorenzo de Almagro's goalkeeper Carmelo Egoitz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gaston Tulio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Carmelo Egoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baldomero Cortez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Santos de Boedo's Lino Gorri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robustiano Roano in the 53rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Santos de Boedo defense, Robustiano Roano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lino Gorri. The Santos de Boedo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lino Gorri should have stopped the shot. Lino Gorri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Dimo in the 56th minute of the match. Gaston Tulio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmelo Egoitz having to interfere. Gaston Tulio scored 2-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carmelo Egoitz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 69th minute, Baldomero Cortez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Carmelo Egoitz. The goal made the score 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Baldomero Cortez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santos de Boedo's supporters rose to their feet, but Baldomero Cortez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carmelo Egoitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Carmelo Egoitz managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Santos de Boedo's Gaston Tulio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Carmelo Egoitz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 83rd minute, San Lorenzo de Almagro's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gaston Tulio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Carmelo Egoitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaston Tulio in the 87th minute. After 91 minutes, Isidoro Aurre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Lorenzo de Almagro and the Santos de Boedo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Isidoro Aurre kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. With a little luck, San Lorenzo de Almagro's Carmelo Egoitz got control of the ball when Gaston Tulio tried to sneak it across the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo de Almagro's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomero Cortez came free, but Carmelo Egoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
