Prudencio Mikelar came out of the goal and Apolo Isauro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Marcos Urritz managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Pipoleta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Urritz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niceto Cutberto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th minute Apolo Isauro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prudencio Mikelar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Marcos Urritz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Niceto Cutberto was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Alejandro Manni hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. When Amadeo Rosario fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tony Montana FC's protests and gave Amadeo Rosario a yellow card for diving instead. Honorio Odon struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Niceto Cutberto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Pipoleta FC. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Marcos Urritz made the kick off in the second half. Cesar Txerran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niceto Cutberto having to interfere. In the 81st minute Cesar Txerran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niceto Cutberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Tony Montana FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Enzo Austin hit a great ball. Apolo Isauro took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Prudencio Mikelar. Prudencio Mikelar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.
