Natalio Efren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Lino Gorri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jesus Platon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Santos de Boedo getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Hermengildo Sotil hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Natalio Efren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santos de Boedo's Lino Gorri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Platon in the 16th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Santos de Boedo's goal looked a bit too open when Jesus Platon came free, but Lino Gorri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Natalio Efren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesus Platon in the 30th minute of play forced Santos de Boedo's goalkeeper Lino Gorri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baldomero Cortez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34thth minute of the game Baldomero Cortez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Luján Sport Club's Anier Lluciano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Gaston Tulio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Jesus Platon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lino Gorri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesus Platon in the 43rd minute of play. Luján Sport Club's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Baldomero Cortez 47 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Jesus Platon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luján Sport Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Jesus Platon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lino Gorri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Santos de Boedo getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. German Cristos hit a great ball. After 61 minutes, Gaston Tulio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santos de Boedo and the Luján Sport Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st minute, Gaston Tulio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 63 played minutes Luján Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Benigno Telo. Anier Lluciano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Tulio, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Gaston Tulio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomero Cortez in the 69th minute of play forced Luján Sport Club's goalkeeper Anier Lluciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute Baldomero Cortez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anier Lluciano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Gaston Tulio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anier Lluciano. Luján Sport Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaston Tulio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Lino Gorri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesus Platon in the 79th minute of play. Anier Lluciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomero Cortez in the 80th minute of the match. Natalio Efren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Gorri having to interfere. In the 87th minute of the match Santos de Boedo got a corner. Luján Sport Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. German Cristos ran over to the corner to take the kick. Anier Lluciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomero Cortez in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Jesus Platon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Luján Sport Club players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Santos de Boedo.
