Melchor Haimar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Omar Ferran went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Melchor Haimar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Donzel in the 11th minute of play. Santiago Donzel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Melchor Haimar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Omar Ferran scored 0-2 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Melchor Haimar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Victor Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Melchor Haimar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Omar Ferran took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Melchor Haimar. Melchor Haimar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Leo Viviano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Donato Abadie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Leo Viviano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silvio Maule. Deportivo Empuje's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leo Viviano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santiago Donzel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored Deportivo Empuje's protests and gave Victor Sancho a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Empuje's Victor Sancho got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Deportivo Empuje's Isidro Cucao got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
