Spectators: 6250 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 50) Luis Baumer started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Ruben Justin came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Resolana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruben Justin couldn't finish the play. In the 9thth minute of the game Luis Baumer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vinalito FC's Melchor Haimar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carlos Matthew was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 15th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Moises Elequemedo charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moises Elequemedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 17 played minutes Vinalito FC got a freekick which was hit by Moises Elequemedo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ruben Justin in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melchor Haimar saved Vinalito FC from getting behind. Luis Baumer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Melchor Haimar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melchor Haimar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Baumer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Resolana's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carlos Matthew in the 27th minute. After taking down the ball on Resolana's corner Ismael Bingen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Melchor Haimar quite easily take care of the ball. Vinalito FC's Donato Abadie got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ruben Justin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melchor Haimar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Vinalito FC's Melchor Haimar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Baumer in the 39th minute of play. Luis Baumer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melchor Haimar having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donato Abadie was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Vinalito FC booed when Resolana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorato Lluciano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseo Pirro's late challenge caught a Vinalito FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseo Pirro helped the player get up and apologised. After 58 played minutes Resolana got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Pirro. After 59 played minutes Resolana got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Gaizkine. 64 minutes into the match, Resolana's Carlos Matthew broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Melchor Haimar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Baumer in the 65th minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Marco Tolino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vinalito FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Resolana the free kick. Luis Baumer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ismael Bingen kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Viviano in the 78th minute of play forced Resolana's goalkeeper Humberto James to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruben Justins short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Melchor Haimar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 85th minute, Vinalito FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ruben Justin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 87 minutes of play Resolana's Eliseo Pirro was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Resolana getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Eliseo Pirro hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Resolana's zone, Donato Abadie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto James came out of the goal and Donato Abadie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 96 minutes into the match, Donato Abadie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Humberto James. Resolana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donato Abadie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Resolana players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Vinalito FC.
