EL GRANATE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulino Orti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to EL GRANATE getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Clemente Vistruario hit a great ball. Gregorio Maureo's late challenge caught a EL GRANATE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gregorio Maureo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 31st minute, Paulino Orti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute, EL GRANATE's Paulino Orti ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emanuel Padro. Emanuel Padro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. If Paulino Orti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodosio Horado made in the 41st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Everardo Fortun. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulino Orti in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Padro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Norberto Beliran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Emanuel Padro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Everardo Fortun to strike the kick off in the second half. Paulino Orti struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Emanuel Padro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EL GRANATE. 63 minutes into the game, Clemente Vistruario was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EL GRANATE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saladillo AFC the free kick. The Saladillo AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuel Padro should have stopped the shot. EL GRANATE's Clemente Vistruario quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gregorio Maureo, made in the 74th minute of the game. Gregorio Maureo got a throw-in 78 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Teodosio Horado. EL GRANATE's Simon Jenaro was substituted for Paulino Orti. Simon Jenaro scored 4-0 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emanuel Padro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Simon Jenaro might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emanuel Padro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
