The audience thought a goal was coming when Erubiel Norino got free with Lino Totakoxe in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albino Bilintx in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lino Totakoxe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Guaraní's Simon Escobar got a free kick in the 35th minute. After 36 played minutes Guaraní got a freekick which was hit by Saturnino Natal. Guaraní's Lino Totakoxe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Guaraní from getting a goal against them. Lino Totakoxe made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Erubiel Norino sent off a good shot on target.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Albino Bilintx made a kick off. When Albino Bilintx came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Guerreros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albino Bilintx couldn't finish the play. Erubiel Norino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Totakoxe having to interfere. The supporters of Guerreros booed when Guaraní was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltasar Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erubiel Norino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Guerreros's zone, Simon Escobar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Salvador Resto came out of the goal and Simon Escobar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72ndth minute of the game Albino Bilintx who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guaraní's Lino Totakoxe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baltasar Velasco during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Erubiel Norino came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Guerreros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erubiel Norino couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Guaraní defense, Erubiel Norino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lino Totakoxe. The Guaraní fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lino Totakoxe should have stopped the shot. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
