Domingos Benat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valhöll FF. After having played for 5 minutes, Ermegildo Venceslas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valhöll FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ermegildo Venceslas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valhöll FF's Emanuel Orlin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edelmiro Llorienzo in the 6th minute of play. When Estudiantes de Zarate's Fausto Markel in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Valhöll FF's goalie prevented a goal. When Ermegildo Venceslas came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Valhöll FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ermegildo Venceslas couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Ermegildo Venceslas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valhöll FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Ermegildo Venceslas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domingos Benat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ermegildo Venceslas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Domingos Benat having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Valhöll FF's Cornelio Fortun slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Domingos Benat. That made the score 1-0 after 23 minutes of play. Emanuel Orlin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Markel in the 27th minute of play. Valhöll FF's Emanuel Orlin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edelmiro Llorienzo in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Fausto Markel notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Valhöll FF's Emanuel Orlin. Emanuel Orlin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Valhöll FF's Ermegildo Venceslas got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ermegildo Venceslas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Fausto Markel made a precise shot to the right of Emanuel Orlin. Valhöll FF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After having played for 58 minutes, Ermegildo Venceslas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valhöll FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ermegildo Venceslas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ermegildo Venceslas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Benat having to interfere. When Estudiantes de Zarate's Edelmiro Llorienzo in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Valhöll FF's goalie prevented a goal. Emanuel Orlin came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Estudiantes de Zarate's Fausto Markel. But to his dismay, Fausto Markel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. If Ermegildo Venceslas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Estudiantes de Zarate booed when Valhöll FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustacio Carlomagno didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ermegildo Venceslas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 94th minute Edelmiro Llorienzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Orlin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de Zarate's goal looked a bit too open when Ermegildo Venceslas came free, but Domingos Benat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute of the match Valhöll FF got a corner. Estudiantes de Zarate's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aureliano Pio ran over to the corner to take the kick. Aureliano Pio made a great header on Valhöll FF's corner, it was just that Estudiantes de Zarate's Domingos Benat managed to reach the ball for a save. When the final whistle went the supporters of Estudiantes de Zarate were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Valhöll FF side.
