Atahona FC's Serafin Beltxe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Santio in the 16th minute of play. The supporters of The Chapions booed when Atahona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardino Bastiaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in The Chapions's zone, Rodolfo Cordera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cleto Cucao came out of the goal and Rodolfo Cordera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabian Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabian Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Serafin Beltxe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Francisco Santio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Serafin Beltxe was a little too slow when Francisco Santio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 2-0. If Urbano Federigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Cordera in the 37th minute of play forced The Chapions's goalkeeper Cleto Cucao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Atahona FC's Rodolfo Cordera sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cleto Cucao narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 42nd minute of the game, Edgard Santxol landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After a rather tough play, The Chapions's Gualterio Charro got a free kick in the 43rd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Santio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Atahona FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Chapions the free kick. Rodolfo Cordera kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute of the match Cecilio Jakobe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Serafin Beltxe skillfully saved the ball. 84 minutes into the match, The Chapions's goalkeeper Cleto Cucao had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Urbano Federigo. Francisco Santio hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute Fabian Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafin Beltxe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 92 played minutes Atahona FC got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Llope.
