Spectators: 7303 (Terracing: 5478, Seating: 1680, VIP seats: 145) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Albino Bilintx made the kick off which started today's match. After a defensive mix-up in Guerreros's zone, Eustaquio Esquipula stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Salvador Resto came out of the goal and Eustaquio Esquipula tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Placido Sabino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvador Resto having to interfere. Salvador Resto made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Eustaquio Esquipula sent off a good shot on target. Placido Sabino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Guerreros's zone, Placido Sabino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Salvador Resto came out of the goal and Placido Sabino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ranquilcó's Eustaquio Esquipula got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Placido Sabino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvador Resto having to interfere. In the 25thth minute of the game Placido Sabino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guerreros's Salvador Resto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Placido Sabino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Placido Sabino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Salvador Resto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. In the 32nd minute of the match Marcelo Bembe shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kenneth Tingelholm showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 33 played minutes Ranquilcó got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Toro. Erubiel Norino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Kenneth Tingelholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Placido Sabino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ranquilcó's supporters rose to their feet, but Placido Sabino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Salvador Resto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Salvador Resto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Placido Sabino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salvador Resto made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Eustaquio Esquipula sent off a good shot on target. Salvador Resto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Placido Sabino's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Placido Sabino made a kick off. Ranquilcó's Kenneth Tingelholm proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Ranquilcó from getting a goal against them. 62 minutes into the match, Eulalio Lopes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kenneth Tingelholm. Ranquilcó's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eulalio Lopes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Salvador Resto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Placido Sabino in the 67th minute of the match. Eustaquio Esquipula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Placido Sabino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Salvador Resto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Ranquilcó getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Silvano Toro hit a great ball. If Eustaquio Esquipula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 79th minute Eustaquio Esquipula shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Resto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Placido Sabino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Salvador Resto was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Kenneth Tingelholm acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 93rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Paolo Igon. Placido Sabino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Placido Sabino struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Salvador Resto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ranquilcó.
