Tulumaya's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ranquilcó the free kick. In the 8th minute, Fernando Bordat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Placido Sabino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Ranquilcó's Placido Sabino in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Placido Sabino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Armando Lore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, Ranquilcó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herminio Cutberto to maneuver through the defense. Tulumaya's Guido Satordi couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ranquilcó. When Ranquilcó's Eustaquio Esquipula in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tulumaya's goalie prevented a goal. Armando Lore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Placido Sabino in the 37th minute of the match. Kenneth Tingelholm made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hector Boniel in the 38th minute. Armando Lore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustaquio Esquipula, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Tulumaya's Narciso Mirande got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute, one of Ranquilcó:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ranquilcó. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Narciso Mirande was the one to do the kick off. Placido Sabino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvano Toro's late challenge caught a Tulumaya's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvano Toro helped the player get up and apologised. Silvano Toro hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute of the match Victorino Paez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kenneth Tingelholm showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Eustaquio Esquipula could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Armando Lore however easily saved by the left post. Cornelio Cilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, Ranquilcó's Eustaquio Esquipula sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armando Lore narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, Eustaquio Esquipula had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Armando Lore. Tulumaya's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eustaquio Esquipula was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Silvano Toro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Armando Lore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Placido Sabino in the 77th minute of play forced Tulumaya's goalkeeper Armando Lore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Placido Sabino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ranquilcó's supporters rose to their feet, but Placido Sabino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Lore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. During the 80th minute of the match Sixto Javiar completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sixto Javiar a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Placido Sabino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Armando Lore came out and tried to block the shot, but Placido Sabino slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 93rd minute. Ranquilcó's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
