Atahona FC's Serafin Beltxe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Sabino in the 18th minute of play. If Eustaquio Esquipula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kenneth Tingelholm made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Urbano Federigo sent off a good shot on target. 23 minutes into the game, Ranquilcó's Eustaquio Esquipula nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Serafin Beltxe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 26 minutes, Cornelio Cilio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ranquilcó and the Atahona FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Atahona FC booed when Ranquilcó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornelio Cilio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 34 minutes, Eustaquio Esquipula made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Atahona FC's Serafin Beltxe tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 40 minutes of play, Ranquilcó's Eustaquio Esquipula made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafin Beltxe was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodolfo Cordera in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kenneth Tingelholm saved Ranquilcó from getting behind. In the 48th minute Rodolfo Cordera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenneth Tingelholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Placido Sabino made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Urbano Federigo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atahona FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Urbano Federigo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kenneth Tingelholm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Serafin Beltxe made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Eustaquio Esquipula sent off a good shot on target. 58 minutes into the match, Atahona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Placido Sabino came free, but Serafin Beltxe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 61 minutes, Urbano Federigo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atahona FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urbano Federigo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Urbano Federigo fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atahona FC's protests and gave Urbano Federigo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th minute, Urbano Federigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Atahona FC's zone, Placido Sabino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafin Beltxe came out of the goal and Placido Sabino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Urbano Federigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenneth Tingelholm having to interfere. Rodolfo Cordera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenneth Tingelholm having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Placido Sabino in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Serafin Beltxe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rodolfo Cordera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenneth Tingelholm having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbano Federigo in the 85th minute of play forced Ranquilcó's goalkeeper Kenneth Tingelholm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauricio Llope hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Serafin Beltxe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Placido Sabino in the 95th minute of play. The Ranquilcó players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
