Domingos Benat was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fausto Markel struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Serafin Beltxe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Estudiantes de Zarate. Domingos Benat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Cordera in the 35th minute of the match. 36 minutes in the game, Urbano Federigo dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Urbano Federigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the game, Americo Bixintxo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Estudiantes de Zarate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atahona FC the free kick. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Estudiantes de Zarate! Donato Hibai shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Urbano Federigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Domingos Benat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Rodolfo Cordera made the kick off in the second half. If Fausto Markel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Estudiantes de Zarate booed when Atahona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Santxol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Serafin Beltxe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edelmiro Llorienzo in the 66th minute of play. If Fausto Markel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 82 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de Zarate's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Cordera came free, but Domingos Benat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84thth minute of the game Fausto Markel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atahona FC's Serafin Beltxe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 89 played minutes Estudiantes de Zarate got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Abadie. Rodolfo Cordera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Domingos Benat read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Markel in the 97th minute of play forced Atahona FC's goalkeeper Serafin Beltxe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
