With an extended leg and a bit of luck Salvador Resto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 22 minutes into the game, one of Guerreros:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Guerreros's Eulalio Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fernando Bordat kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Erubiel Norino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armando Lore read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Guerreros's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Mirande came free, but Salvador Resto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Narciso Mirande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvador Resto having to interfere. In the 39th minute of the match Guido Satordi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Salvador Resto skillfully saved the ball. If Erubiel Norino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erubiel Norino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erasmo Tuste kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Narciso Mirande to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute Narciso Mirande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Resto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Bordat couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Narciso Mirande kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Salvador Resto. That made the score 0-2 in the 86 minute of play. In the 89th match minute, Tulumaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixto Javiar to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Guerreros's Salvador Resto got control of the ball when Hector Boniel tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eulalio Lopes during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Tulumaya booed when Guerreros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position.
