In the 7th minute of the match, Elias Kelemen got a very nice opportunity to score, but Paul Anttila was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ermegildo Vargas struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Paul Anttila didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deprotivo Tronquitos. 16 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Ranelagh's Guillermo Oton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Octavio Videl narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Elias Kelemen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paul Anttila made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elias Kelemen in the 27th minute. Paul Anttila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermegildo Vargas in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of Club Atletico Ranelagh booed when Deprotivo Tronquitos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Victoro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the game, Urbano Birjaio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atletico Ranelagh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deprotivo Tronquitos the free kick. Urbano Birjaio kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. If Urbano Birjaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Octavio Videl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urbano Birjaio in the 39th minute of play. When Urbano Birjaio came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Club Atletico Ranelagh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urbano Birjaio couldn't finish the play. Urbano Birjaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edelmiro Gartxot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Videl having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Epifanio Laurentzi to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Elias Kelemen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Paul Anttila was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 59 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Ranelagh's goal looked a bit too open when Ermegildo Vargas came free, but Paul Anttila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Octavio Videl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urbano Birjaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Edelmiro Gartxot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute Ermegildo Vargas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Anttila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elias Kelemen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Anttila having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbano Birjaio in the 79th minute of play forced Deprotivo Tronquitos's goalkeeper Octavio Videl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urbano Birjaio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Deprotivo Tronquitos's Octavio Videl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Epifanio Laurentzi in the 82nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Deprotivo Tronquitos's zone, Urbano Birjaio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavio Videl came out of the goal and Urbano Birjaio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Club Atletico Ranelagh's Epifanio Laurentzi got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Club Atletico Ranelagh's Paul Anttila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Kelemen in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Ranelagh's goal looked a bit too open when Ermegildo Vargas came free, but Paul Anttila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Deprotivo Tronquitos support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
