When Albino Peli came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Lacai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albino Peli couldn't finish the play. Albino Peli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ricardo Aguirre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aurelio Berdaitz charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silverio Mendiko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Albino Peli made the kick off in the second half.
