With a left leg Paul Anttila saved Club Atletico Ranelagh from getting behind. 18 minutes into the game, Epifanio Laurentzi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ricardo Aguirre. Epifanio Laurentzi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atletico Ranelagh's goalkeeper Paul Anttila, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Club Atletico Ranelagh's Paul Anttila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Solustiano in the 23rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isidoro Solustiano in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paul Anttila prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Isidoro Solustiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isidoro Solustiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Anttila having to interfere. Paul Anttila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Solustiano in the 35th minute of play. Urbano Birjaio kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Urbano Birjaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Aguirre having to interfere. Urbano Birjaio struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Ricardo Aguirre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Ranelagh. If Sixto Artaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isidoro Solustiano to strike the kick off in the second half. Urbano Birjaio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Aguirre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. The supporters of Club Atletico Ranelagh booed when Pedernal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Jax didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edelmiro Gartxot hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Ranelagh's Epifanio Laurentzi got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Pedernal's Sixto Artaldo managed to work through Club Atletico Ranelagh's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Sixto Artaldo dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Solustiano in the 67th minute of play forced Club Atletico Ranelagh's goalkeeper Paul Anttila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sixto Artaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ricardo Aguirre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urbano Birjaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Pedernal's zone, Epifanio Laurentzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Aguirre came out of the goal and Epifanio Laurentzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricardo Aguirre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urbano Birjaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Sixto Artaldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
