In the 20th of the match, Ezequiel Xabat tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Aureliano Artal got in the way and made a wonderful save. 21 minutes into the game, Eloy Etxeberri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Aquiles Ihintza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rogelio Cristofor made a kick off. With a little luck, Liga Aves de Bernal's Aquiles Ihintza got control of the ball when Eloy Etxeberri tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rogelio Cristofor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. In the 79th minute, Salvador Goyo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aquiles Ihintza. The goal made the score 0-2. Mariano Ekhi's late challenge caught a joseph pla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Ekhi helped the player get up and apologised. After 88 played minutes Liga Aves de Bernal got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Ekhi. A collision led to joseph pla getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Francisco Jacindo hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the match, Manuel Estevez notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of joseph pla's Aureliano Artal. Aureliano Artal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The joseph pla supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing joseph pla would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
