Sixto Artaldo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Leonides Eutor made a huge save. After having played for 13 minutes, Isidoro Solustiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pedernal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Solustiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sixto Artaldo in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonides Eutor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Uriel Jacindo's late challenge caught a Pedernal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Uriel Jacindo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Castellanos FC's Uriel Jacindo got a free kick in the 15th minute. When Alvaro Iztal fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 24th minute, Isidoro Solustiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Uriel Jacindo got his second yellow card in the match during the 30th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isidoro Solustiano in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonides Eutor saved Castellanos FC from getting behind. Ricardo Aguirre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nemesio Ioritz, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. When Alvaro Iztal was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 41 minutes had been played. When Sixto Artaldo came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Pedernal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sixto Artaldo couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nemesio Ioritz made a kick off. When Alonzo Bizen fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pedernal's protests and gave Alonzo Bizen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd match minute, Pedernal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonzo Bizen to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Castellanos FC's Clodoveo Eusko got a free kick in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Solustiano in the 59th minute of play forced Castellanos FC's goalkeeper Leonides Eutor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nemesio Ioritz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Aguirre having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nemesio Ioritz got free with Ricardo Aguirre in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mariano Santana during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Castellanos FC! In the 66th minute there was a penalty for Pedernal. Ubaldo Cordaryal stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Leonides Eutor. 1-0. If Sixto Artaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pedro Bladi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Nemesio Ioritz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nemesio Ioritz scored 1-1 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Aguirre, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 93 minutes into the game, Castellanos FC's Nemesio Ioritz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Aguirre made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Nemesio Ioritz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Ricardo Aguirre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Pedernal supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Castellanos FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Castellanos FC.
