Paul Anttila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Xabat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Epifanio Laurentzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquiles Ihintza having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Liga Aves de Bernal's Ezequiel Xabat ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Paul Anttila. Paul Anttila yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. A collision led to Club Atletico Ranelagh getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Epifanio Laurentzi hit a great ball. Ezequiel Xabat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Ranelagh's goal looked a bit too open when Ezequiel Xabat came free, but Paul Anttila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 played minutes Club Atletico Ranelagh got a freekick which was hit by Epifanio Laurentzi. If Ezequiel Xabat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the game, one of Club Atletico Ranelagh:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Urbano Birjaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Epifanio Laurentzi made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edelmiro Gartxot got free with Aquiles Ihintza in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Club Atletico Ranelagh booed when Liga Aves de Bernal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Ekhi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Urbano Birjaio was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 55th minute. Club Atletico Ranelagh's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Urbano Birjaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Aquiles Ihintza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Urbano Birjaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcial Cristos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 63rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Urbano Birjaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Liga Aves de Bernal's goalkeeper Aquiles Ihintza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Urbano Birjaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Urbano Birjaio came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Club Atletico Ranelagh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urbano Birjaio couldn't finish the play. Urbano Birjaio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enrique Clis's late challenge caught a Club Atletico Ranelagh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enrique Clis helped the player get up and apologised. Enrique Clis kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute Ezequiel Xabat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Anttila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
