Spectators: 7227 (Terracing: 5422, Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 143) La maquina de River Plate's Genaro Rumaldo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fenix FC's Arnoldo Lleir got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnoldo Lleir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Amancio Estebe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amancio Estebe came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Fenix FC's Igor Dolcet. But to his dismay, Igor Dolcet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Armando Dabi managed to get in a good position for a shot. La maquina de River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Dabi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Lorenz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the La maquina de River Plate defense, Arnoldo Lleir kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amancio Estebe. The La maquina de River Plate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amancio Estebe should have stopped the shot. Tomás Lorenz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genaro Rumaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Igor Dolcet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Dolcet in the 35th minute of play forced La maquina de River Plate's goalkeeper Amancio Estebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Igor Dolcet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Amancio Estebe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Igor Dolcet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Armando Dabi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Lorenz having to interfere. Arnoldo Lleir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Amancio Estebe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd match minute, La maquina de River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herminio Ishmael to maneuver through the defense. After 65 played minutes Fenix FC got a freekick which was hit by Celso Nabar. With a little luck, La maquina de River Plate's Amancio Estebe got control of the ball when Igor Dolcet tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Arnoldo Lleir kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amancio Estebe. That made the score 0-7 in the 72 minute of play. Igor Dolcet succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-8 in the 76th playminute. Genaro Rumaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Lorenz having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in La maquina de River Plate's zone, Igor Dolcet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amancio Estebe came out of the goal and Igor Dolcet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomás Lorenz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Dabi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miguel Modestio charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miguel Modestio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 89th match minute, La maquina de River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Modestio to maneuver through the defense. Arnoldo Lleir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Igor Dolcet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, La maquina de River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Lleir came free, but Amancio Estebe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The La maquina de River Plate fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Fenix FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
