Spectators: 7142 (Terracing: 5390, Seating: 1652, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fidel Lorien started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute, Nemesio Ursino made a precise shot to the right of Cristobal Pancho. Hersilia AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 15th minute of the match Saverio Urbasa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristobal Pancho skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of La Gota FC booed when Hersilia AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aureliano Ibañez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Cosme Cordairo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Victoriano Firme hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Cosme Cordairo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Gervasio Lixandro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gervasio Lixandro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosme Cordairo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosme Cordairo in the 32nd minute of play forced La Gota FC's goalkeeper Gervasio Lixandro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fidel Lorien recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the match, La Gota FC's goalkeeper Gervasio Lixandro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Atilano Deunoro. After 47 minutes of play, La Gota FC's Guaberto Paskal made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristobal Pancho was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half La Gota FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cosme Cordairo was the one to do the kick off. Cosme Cordairo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gervasio Lixandro having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in La Gota FC's zone, Cosme Cordairo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gervasio Lixandro came out of the goal and Cosme Cordairo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nemesio Ursino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Cristobal Pancho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the game, Hersilia AFC's Atilano Deunoro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gervasio Lixandro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Gervasio Lixandro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Atilano Deunoro's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. 93 minutes into the match, Atilano Deunoro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gervasio Lixandro. La Gota FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Atilano Deunoro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. La Gota FC's Gervasio Lixandro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atilano Deunoro in the 98th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
