Chimborazo
Spectators: 7340 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1693, VIP seats: 147) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cornelio Gonsalvo started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Chimborazo's Celso Sabin got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Eusebio Bladi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelino Lartaun having to interfere. Celso Sabin might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angelino Lartaun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Celso Sabin ran back to his position shaking his head. Angelino Lartaun came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Chimborazo's Horacio Primo. But to his dismay, Horacio Primo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Angelino Lartaun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horacio Primo in the 17th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Ignacio Mendebal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DE VELEZ YO SOY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chimborazo the free kick. Eusebio Bladi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maximino Pacorro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornelio Gonsalvo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximino Pacorro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Eutor, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Horacio Primo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Chimborazo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Mazuste to maneuver through the defense. If Eusebio Bladi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Horacio Primo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Angelino Lartaun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Eusebio Bladi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chimborazo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Eusebio Bladi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chimborazo's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusebio Bladi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelino Lartaun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 70 minutes into the game, Dario Santana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DE VELEZ YO SOY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chimborazo the free kick. After 70 played minutes DE VELEZ YO SOY got a freekick which was hit by Dario Santana. 73 minutes into the match, DE VELEZ YO SOY's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebio Bladi came free, but Angelino Lartaun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Horacio Primo notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of DE VELEZ YO SOY's Angelino Lartaun. Angelino Lartaun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Maximino Pacorro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornelio Gonsalvo in the 78th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Horacio Primo in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelino Lartaun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Angelino Lartaun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Bladi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute Chimborazo were awarded a corner. Matias Fagildo went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Matias Fagildo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Angelino Lartaun quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Bladi in the 84th minute of play forced DE VELEZ YO SOY's goalkeeper Angelino Lartaun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Chimborazo fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Chimborazo's Horacio Primo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Chimborazo's Eusebio Bladi got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eusebio Bladi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Angelino Lartaun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94thth minute of the game Horacio Primo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DE VELEZ YO SOY's Angelino Lartaun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eusebio Bladi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelino Lartaun having to interfere. There was no doubt that Chimborazo were the better team. Chimborazo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
