Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Antonio Quin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. A collision led to merlo20 getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Manuel Cruz hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Abel Salvator kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ramiro Chorche. That made the score 1-1 in the 35 minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Jairo Pancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Artemio Berbiz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Ramiro Chorche when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 48 minutes into the game, Antonio Quin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jaime Atarrabi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ciriaco Esdras to strike the kick off in the second half. Jaime Atarrabi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciriaco Esdras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antonio Quin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Jaime Atarrabi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciriaco Esdras in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jaime Atarrabi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Artemio Berbiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Antonio Quin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, merlo20's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Salvator came free, but Ramiro Chorche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramiro Chorche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artemio Berbiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 78th minute Artemio Berbiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Chorche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the game, Antonio Quin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Jaime Atarrabi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Corti AFC's Artemio Berbiz got a free kick in the 91st minute. Ramiro Chorche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Berbiz in the 94th minute of play. merlo20's Ramiro Chorche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Berbiz in the 99th minute of play. merlo20's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
