In the 2nd minute, Hernan Gaskon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Horacio Danel came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Florida AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horacio Danel couldn't finish the play. If Horacio Danel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 0-1 became the score in the 12th minute when Hernan Gaskon elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 15th match minute, Florida AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Lia to maneuver through the defense. Artemio Berbiz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Rodolfo Isidor when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Artemio Berbiz scored 1-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rodolfo Isidor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Horacio Danel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Horacio Danel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th match minute, Florida AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernan Gaskon to maneuver through the defense. Abel Salvator might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodolfo Isidor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abel Salvator ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Artemio Berbiz got free with Rodolfo Isidor in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jaime Atarrabi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Gaskon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Horacio Danel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Corti AFC's zone, Hernan Gaskon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Atarrabi came out of the goal and Hernan Gaskon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Horacio Danel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Artemio Berbiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Rodolfo Isidor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Corti AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Gaskon came free, but Jaime Atarrabi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaime Atarrabi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horacio Danel went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of Corti AFC booed when Florida AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Lia didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Hernan Gaskon took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Jaime Atarrabi to make any attempt to save it. 75 minutes into the game, Uriel Valerio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Rodolfo Isidor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jaime Atarrabi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernan Gaskon, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. If Horacio Danel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Atarrabi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horacio Danel went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Abel Salvator received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Rodolfo Isidor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Florida AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Corti AFC throughout the match.
