Jeronimo Txema took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Ixona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clodoveo Gartzen came free with the goalkeeper in the 8th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jeronimo Txema could save by the left post. Clodoveo Gartzens short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Jeronimo Txema to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 13th match minute, Arerunguá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Ayala to maneuver through the defense. If Clodoveo Gartzen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Clodoveo Gartzen came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the La Barraca FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clodoveo Gartzen couldn't finish the play. 25 minutes into the match, Arerunguá's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Ixona came free, but Jeronimo Txema reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Arerunguá's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Samuel Ixona fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 38th minute, Samuel Ixona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 48 minutes, Samuel Ixona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Barraca FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Ixona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

A collision led to La Barraca FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Aureliano Ulizes hit a great ball. Lázaro Bertran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Rodas in the 58th minute of the match. Jeronimo Txema showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clodoveo Gartzen, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After a rather tough play, La Barraca FC's Tobias Loren got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Lázaro Bertran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Prudencio Txordon in the 63rd minute. After 65 played minutes, La Barraca FC's Gilberto Peter shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jeronimo Txema came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Barraca FC reached it. Clodoveo Gartzen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeronimo Txema showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clodoveo Gartzen, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Samuel Ixona scored 1-0 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeronimo Txema, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pastor Lauaxeta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clodoveo Gartzen couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute, Samuel Ixona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Arerunguá's zone, Clodoveo Gartzen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeronimo Txema came out of the goal and Clodoveo Gartzen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. La Barraca FC fully deserved thier win.
