Urbano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Martes the free kick. The goalkeeper, Emilio Gartzen, was totally fooled by Deportivo Martes's Ricardo Ponce, who 19 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Deportivo Martes's Joaquin Rafel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Eskuin in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Basajaun in the 26th minute of play forced Deportivo Martes's goalkeeper Joaquin Rafel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Deportivo Martes's goal looked a bit too open when Niceto Eskuin came free, but Joaquin Rafel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emil Jastrowicz got free with Emilio Gartzen in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Gogo Mannuel took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Emilio Gartzen to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Martes's zone, Niceto Eskuin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Rafel came out of the goal and Niceto Eskuin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bartolo Eriz fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 44th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. Emilio Gartzen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Ponce in the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ricardo Ponce stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Ricardo Ponce ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emilio Gartzen was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Ponce in the 59th minute of play forced Urbano's goalkeeper Emilio Gartzen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute of the match Deportivo Martes got a corner. Urbano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ricardo Ponce ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Deportivo Martes's Ricardo Ponce to fire away a dangerous shot which Emilio Gartzen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Bartolo Eriz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ricardo Ponce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Raul Frichoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 82 played minutes Urbano got a freekick which was hit by Raul Frichoso. Deportivo Martes's Ricardo Ponce got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 90 played minutes Deportivo Martes got a freekick which was hit by Gogo Mannuel. Joaquin Rafel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niceto Eskuin, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
