With a couple of smart ball manuevers Atabey Ülgü in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelo Frantzes saved Independiente de Caseros from getting behind. Gerardo Tano charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerardo Tano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gerardo Tano hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. When Gerardo Tano was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 21 minutes had been played. The supporters of Tambería booed when Independiente de Caseros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Tano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Kevin Dahlberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tambería's supporters rose to their feet, but Kevin Dahlberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Frantzes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 34th minute, Andres Tristan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th minute, Atabey Ülgü got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
