If Gregorio Birila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fulgencio Fernendo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anastasio Sustrai, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. A collision led to Berreta getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Maximiliano Blanco hit a great ball. Gregorio Birila blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Santos Darien having to make a save. The Liebig AFC fans' excitement grew in the 49th match minute when Liebig AFC's Alejandro Palban looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gregorio Birila to strike the kick off in the second half.
