Igarzábal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independiente de Caseros the free kick. In the 30th match minute, Independiente de Caseros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Duarte to maneuver through the defense. Freddy Savier might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelo Frantzes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After 84 minutes, Fausto Leobardo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Independiente de Caseros and the Igarzábal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 97th minute, Rene Pelayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Independiente de Caseros fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Igarzábal FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
